-Catching Pokémon --Your starter Pokemon can be obtained by Professor Catalpa in Starlight Town. ---You are free to choose any Pokemon you like but there are some requirements ----Your starter cannot be a Legendary or special event (Arceus, Shaymin, Manaphy) ----Your starter must be in it's first form. If the Pokemon (for example Pikachu) has a baby form (Pichu) you have an option of obtaining it in its basic form or baby form. --You cannot control the wild Pokemon you are battling. It is the staff's job to control it for you. -- Legendary Pokémon cannot be simply caught; they are obtained from PokéTopia events.

-Stats --When any of your Pokemon is first obtained, a staff member will divide amongst its stats. --Stat Groups HP Physical Attack Physical Defense Special Attack Special Defense Speed ---These are the stat groups for Pokémon. --For every level your Pokémon increases, you get 20 points to add to your Pokémon’s stats. --Every time your Pokémon evolves, you get 100 points to add to your Pokémon’s stats as well as the 20 you get for leveling up your Pokémon if that’s the way you evolved --For every post you make, you get 1 stat point to add to your Pokémon. --Accuracy and Evasiveness are fairly simple ---At the beginning of the battle your Pokemon's accuracy is 100%. However, if they are hit by a Smokescreen or sand attack, the accuracy may drop down to 95% ---Same rule applies for Evasiveness.

-Leveling Up --To increase your level, you battle against other members, trainers, gym leaders, and wild Pokemon. ---Trainers and wild Pokemon are controlled by other staff members or by an assigned member. --The amount of experience you need to grow a level depends on your Pokémon’s level. Be considerate! It would take a lot more than one or two battles for a Level 99 to grow to Level 100. -- Trainer battles give more experience than wild battles. -- Gym battles give more experience than trainer battles. -- Member battles give more experience than gym battles. --Certain Exp can be obtained through special events in PokéTopia.

-Attacks --Your Pokémon can have any amount of attacks you want, but your Pokémon has to be at the level required for the attack. --You don’t just attack and do 1-30 damage. The trainer you are battling and you decide on the outcome based on the levels, stats, and strength and effects of the moves being used. For example, if you try to hit a Pokémon that is very fast, you might miss a lot, but this isn't a perfect science, so one of you will have to be willing to lose logically. There is no real penalty for losing, so help each other out. --Keep in mind that one-hit KO's miss most of the time
